These glaciers have been here since December. Ignored by the City Hall, and are still floating up and down most blocks in Southie.

  1. I saw a car accident yesterday (not in Southie). The car drove straight up on one of those same glaciers and was stuck almost standing straight up in the air on its bumper!

  2. One time, at work, the fire alarm went off. It was loud.

  3. The mounds between the cars are the fault of shovelers who are too lazy and/or dumb to put the snow on the edge of the sidewalk abutting the street.

  4. I would like to beat some of these people with their cones. They dig out their car from a PUBLIC spot and somehow feel that they have been granted ownership rights to it. The a-hole lifers who live at the corner of B Street and W. 3rd haven't removed their trash cans from "their" spots since about December 1st. Someone please arrest them.

  5. This is a blog about snow and cars, not fire alarms. Now go back to being immature.

  6. I heard a rumor the Herald has a car with a webcam that they're parking on 6th street to try and catch somebody on camera vandalizing it.

  7. One time, an anonymous person responded to my awesome story about a fire alarm. They told me this blog was about snow and cars, not fire alarms. Can you point me to the blog for fire alarms please?

  9. This is the corner on which I live. I have lived in Southie all my life. I too put my cone out because as you can see there is no where to park BUT I don't leave it out more then 48 hours. After coming home to have my spot taken and then have that person put a cone in the space I shoveled is aggravating. My cone will now stay out as long as everyone else has one!!!

  10. The massive mounds of snow and ice piss me off more than space savers. Thankfully I drive a truck and just park right on top of mounds.

  11. I'm at a loss. Living in Boston, I expect snow. Living in the city, I expect snow to be a pain in the a#$. Living in the city with a car I KNOW will be painful! My choice is to move, or deal with it. I choose to deal with. Stop your whining. "City Hall" a.k.a - the "tax payers" aren't responsible for removing the snow shovelers pile between their cars. Gheesh.
