This chain of spots takes up literally a half of a city block.

This is what you can expect when you take someone elses spot. This note was left on a car that moved a spot marker, 10 DAYS after it last snowed.

According to the C6 desk sergeant, "technically there is no such thing as saving spots on the street." However, local custom allows those who "shovel out" their car during a big snowstorm can reserve their space. This custom although not legal, is overlooked for a term no longer than 48 hours from the end of the snow emergency.
